The universe is not only stranger than we imagine; it is stranger than we can imagine.
-- J. B. S Haldane

In 1929 as Edwin Hubble was learning the distance to galaxies, he discovered that the universe is expanding. And if it is expanding, then it had a beginning.

Recently Saul Perlmutter discovered that the universe is not slowing down from gravitational attraction for a big crunch and yet another big bang and so on for all eternity. No, he says it's expansion is speeding up. It will never collapse.

That means the universe had a one time beginning. A beginning of all things needs an eternal non-matter Beginner. The Bible’s first words are, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Eleven times the Bible tells us God has been stretching out the heavens since the creation.

Only the actual Creator could have known before modern science that the universe had a beginning and is stretching out. He recorded those facts only in the Bible. We truly have very strong evidence that the God of the Bible is the Beginner, the Creator of the universe.
